Juvenile Arrested After Firearm Discovered During Traffic Stop
GERBER, CA — “On July 3, 2025, while patrolling the Gerber area, a deputy sheriff conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for committing multiple traffic violations.
The driver, a 19 year old male, and a juvenile passenger were contacted during the stop. A consent search of the vehicle revealed a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 firearm located under the passenger’s seat, along with a loaded high-capacity magazine, firearm components, and several shell casings.
The juvenile passenger admitted to possessing the firearm.
The vehicle was towed and the driver was issued a citation for driving without a license.
The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center for multiple firearm-related charges.
We will not tolerate juveniles illegally possessing firearms and will continue our proactive efforts to address this issue in our community.”
