Two Subjects Caught in Cottonwood Drug Bust

COTTONWOOD – On Tuesday, June 26 a search warrant was served in Cottonwood on the block of Del Norte Drive.  Two individuals were arrested by agents of the Tehama Interagency Drug Enforcement (TIDE) task force.  Juan Manuel Chavez, 34, of Cottonwood was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale and Jennifer Diana Cooper, 26, of Redding was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Investigators found crystal meth and a pipe

The couple was placed into custody at Tehama County Jail without incident. During the investigation, TIDE agents discovered 10.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a crack pipe, three handguns, two shotguns, 400.3 grams of processed marijuana and 527 pot plants at the residence.
