PLACERVILLE, CA — “At 7:04 AM, the Placerville Police Department received a report of a suspicious occupied vehicle, along with another car parked in a red zone on Woodridge Ct. When our officer arrived and approached the occupied vehicle, he found a male and a female sleeping inside. Upon contact, the male subject fled on foot, prompting an immediate pursuit.
The individual was later identified as 44-year-old John Alfred Stebbins, Jr. of Diamond Springs, a Parolee At Large (PAL). PPD quickly requested assistance from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office to help establish a perimeter. ECHO 1 launched into the air, and an EDSO K-9 unit was deployed.
By 8:02 AM, Stebbins was located, handcuffed, taken into custody, and booked on the following charges: Violation of Parole, Violation of a Court Order – Domestic Violence, Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer, and Possession of Unlawful Paraphernalia. Currently in custody at the El Dorado County Jail.
We appreciate the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office for their support in helping bring this incident to a safe and successful resolution.”
