“The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office arrested 57-year-old Antonio Calabro of El Dorado for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) following an investigation initiated from a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on Jan. 16.
The investigation was conducted by the Sheriff’s High-Tech Crimes Unit, who are also members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. After an initial investigation, Detectives uncovered digital evidence of offensive images and videos of juveniles. A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence, where the additional evidence of CSAM was located. Based on the investigation, Calabro was arrested and subsequently booked into the El Dorado County Jail on charges of felony possession of child pornography depicting (sexually explicit material) and other felony child pornography charges. Calabro’s bail was set at $95,000.00. He is no longer listed as in custody at the El Dorado county Jail.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting children in our community and beyond. We thank NCMEC, the ICAC Task Force, and our dedicated investigators for their hard work and diligence in these investigations.
If you have any information about suspected child exploitation, please report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) at www.missingkids.org or contact our office directly.”
