VENTURA COUNTY, CA – May 10, 2025-
A Thousand Oaks resident already facing felony charges for illegally posing as a doctor, is now
accused of doubling down on his fraudulent, unlicensed medical “practice.”
According to Ventura County Assistant District Attorney Erik Jensen, Nitun Dayalghai Ahir, 43,
was, “first charged in March of 2025 for offering medical treatments without a license” in July
2024.
That case resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant.
On March 28, he was arraigned in Ventura County Superior Court on multiple felony counts including “unlawful practice of
medicine, elder theft by a caretaker, identity theft and falsely indicating he had the right to
practice medicine.”
At that arraignment, Judge David Hirsch imposed a strict condition on Ahir’s bail: no medical
work, or back to jail.
Within days of his release, however, he was representing himself once again as a physician,
although he is “not licensed in any capacity to practice medicine in California or any other state.”
Prosecutors secured another warrant for Ahir’s arrest on April 17, charging him with two
additional felony counts of practicing medicine without a license as well as a new special
allegation tied directly to his violation of the court’s prior bail condition.
Ahir was transported to Ventura County Jail on May 5 and promptly posted bail in the amount
of $50,000.
He remains at liberty with a court date of June 25, 2025.
