Man Arrested After Loaded Gun and Narcotics Found During Fallbrook Traffic Stop
FALLBROOK, CA — “A man is in custody after he was found with a loaded gun during a traffic stop in Fallbrook.
On Tuesday, April 22, around 2:00 p.m., two deputies from the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation’s Crime Suppression Team (CST) stopped a car for a traffic violation in the 1100 block of South Vine Street.
As soon as the car came to a stop, two passengers got out and ran down an alley.
One deputy stayed with the driver while his partner went after the two men on foot as they ran through a busy parking lot and crossed Main Street. The deputy gave up the foot pursuit after the two men began running in different directions, one of whom nearly got hit by a car. The men have yet to be found.
Michael Robledo (DOB 09/10/1980), the driver of the car that was pulled over during the initial traffic stop, was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. A loaded handgun was located in the car’s passenger compartment. Drug paraphernalia and open containers of alcohol were also found in the car.
Robledo was arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, as well as several narcotics-related charges. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
