Colusa County Authorities Seek Suspect in Connection with Shooting in Late March

COLUSA, CA –– “On 3/29/2025 at approximately 12:16 a.m., Colusa County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Packer Road just east of State Highway 45, Colusa CA, regarding a male adult who had been shot multiple times. The shooting victim was later transported to Rideout Hospital and treated for his injuries. The injuries to the victim were determined to be non-life threatening and he was later released.
Colusa County Sheriff’s Office Detectives responded to the scene. After an initial investigation was conducted, it was determined the victim, a Colusa Casino Tribal Patrol Security Officer, was conducting routine patrol on Colusa Tribal properties when he located a dark blue, late 1990s Toyota Corolla. The Corolla was parked near a walnut orchard on Colusa Tribal grounds with its lights turned off. The victim attempted to make contact with the driver, who appeared to be unconscious at the driver seat. Upon making contact, the driver turned towards the victim firing multiple shots from a firearm. The bullets struck the victim on his bulletproof vest but did not penetrate. (Colusa Casino Tribal Patrol Security Officers are not Sworn Police Officers).
The suspect drove away when the victim stumbled and fell. The victim described the suspect as a heavyset white male adult, approximately 300 pounds, baldhead, wearing gray sweatpants and a dark color hooded sweatshirt. The suspect was further described as having a tribal-like tattoo on his face starting from his bottom lip, going down his neck and into his chest area. The tattoo was black with a red stripe down the center going from his bottom lip to his neck. A further distinct tattoo was observed and described as a green clover behind the suspects left ear.
