Successful Arrest Made in Burglary Investigation

“On Thursday, May 30, 2024, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Monterey and Marina Police Officers and Detectives, served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Kennedy Court in Marina, CA.

The investigation revealed Richard Hall, 37, of Marina, committed numerous vehicle and storage locker burglaries in the cities of Monterey and Salinas. Hall was also found to be in possession of illegal firearms. Hall is suspected of burglarizing twenty different locations around Monterey County.

During the search, detectives located tools and equipment to make firearms, personal paperwork belonging to other people, and numerous items that were previously reported stolen.

Hall was transported and booked into the Monterey County Jail for violations of California Penal Code (PC) 459 – Burglary, 496(a)PC – Possession of stolen property, 530.5(c)(3)PC – Identity theft, 466PC – Possession of burglary tools, 30600(a)PC – Manufacturing firearms, 25400(a)(1)PC – Possession of a loaded firearm within a vehicle, 29800(a)(1)PC – Addict in possession of firearms, 33215PC – Possession of a short barrel rifle, 30605(a)PC – Possession of an illegal assault weapon, and 25100(c)PC – Negligent storage of a firearm. His bail was set at $100,000.
