“On May 20th, 2024, GPD officers were dispatched to the 400 block of F Street for a report of a possibly armed man making threats to harm someone at the residence. When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene.

A short time later, officers found the suspect, Daniel Torres, 39, of Acampo, attempting to conceal himself at 4th and H Streets. Daniel refused to comply with officers’ commands and began to walk away. He continued to defy commands from our officers, ultimately resulting in the use of a K9. After a physical struggle with our K9 and officers on scene, Daniel was placed under arrest.

While Daniel was being treated at a local hospital, he again became combative with our officer and hospital staff.

Daniel was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail for criminal threats, resisting a police officer, battery on a police officer, and possession of a controlled substance.”
