Sonoma County Man Reportedly Arrested for Sixth DUI in 10 Years

“On Saturday, April 6, 2024, one of our patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with equipment violations that also exhibited driving behaviors similar to an impaired driver. The driver, Pedro Santiago-Ventura, (34, Petaluma) was found to be on felony probation out of Sonoma county for 5 prior DUI convictions within the past 10 years. A DUI investigation was conducted where Santiago-Ventura submitted to a Breathalyzer test which registered a blood alcohol content of .23%, almost 3x the legal limit. Santiago-Ventura was later arrested for felony DUI, driving on a suspended license, and probation violation.

Driving under the influence is 100% preventable. Please plan ahead by utilizing a rideshare, calling a friend, or designating a sober driver.”
