FORESTVILLE – In recent weeks, a man has been exposing himself to women on the West County Trail. On June 4th detectives arrested 31-year-old Michael Rodd for the crimes.
Over the previous weekend at least two incidents were reported. Deputies nearly caught him on Sunday morning, but he ran away and successfully evaded capture for the time being.
An advisory about the man was posted on Nixle. Then, an alert citizen spotted a suspicious black Mercedes parked on Ross Station Road, and the citizen took a picture the the car’s license plate.
After running the plate, detectives “developed a photographic lineup of the vehicle’s owner.” One of the women who encountered Rodd identified him as the suspect.
Rodd was arrested at his workplace on three counts of indecent exposure and one count of evading arrest.
Rodd was reportedly also arrested in 2014 in South Carolina for indecent exposure.
