“Back in November, deputies responded to the Tin Lantern in Meadow Vista to take a theft report. When deputies arrived on the scene, the owner reported approximately $2,000 worth of tools stolen from the property. Deputies viewed surveillance footage that showed a possible suspect vehicle and suspect entering the property. The owner also decided to make a post asking for assistance from the public regarding the theft. The owner received an anonymous tip that the suspect was potentially Joseph Sutton.

Detectives took the case and continued the investigation with the information they had. Just a couple of weeks ago, detectives were able to recover the property and file charges against 34-year-old Joseph Sutton of Auburn. This is a great example of deputies working alongside the community to recover stolen property and make an arrest for a crime that was committed in our community. Thank you to everyone who assisted in this case!”
