All Truckee Police units responded along with resources from the California Highway Patrol. Upon their arrival, officers observed the residence was on fire and learned the suspect had fled the scene. Law enforcement soon discovered multiple shots had been fired during the incident and quickly located several uninjured victims inside the residence. Wade was taken into custody without further incident and later booked for attempted murder, burglary, arson to an inhabited dwelling, and numerous other firearm related charges. Wade currently resides at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility in Nevada City and will be held without bail.

The Truckee Police Department would like to thank the members of the Truckee Fire Protection District CHP California Highway Patrol, CHP – Truckee , the Nevada County District Attorney’s Office, and the Placer County Sheriff’s Office for their coordination and assistance in the investigation and subsequent arrest of the suspect.”
