Placer County: Man Arrested for Alleged Assault and Vandalism at Gas Station

On Monday, Placer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an assault and vandalism at the Valero Gas Station in Applegate. It was reported that a man had vandalized a gas pump and then attacked the store clerk when the clerk confronted him, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Following a thorough investigation, deputies worked closely with detectives to identify the suspect. It was discovered that the suspect, identified as Joseph Frazier, had contacted the Concord PD regarding a child custody dispute after the incident took place.

Working together, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Frazier and teamed up with Concord police officers to locate and apprehend him. Frazier, a 38-year-old resident of Vallejo, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery causing serious bodily injury and felony vandalism.
