LIVERMORE — Two suspects face felony charges involving a drive-by shooting. Gunfire erupted one night on Broadmoor Street near Scenic Avenue. Several persons were at home when shots were fired into their residence.

Police responded to this shooting on January 6 shortly after 9 p.m. Although no one was injured, officers found shell casings in the vicinity. Two bullets struck the garage door, and one bullet damaged a parked car.

Investigators determined that the shots were fired from inside a vehicle, which sped away from the normally quiet neighborhood. The alleged driver and gunman were identified after a thorough investigation. Both suspects know one of the occupants of the targeted home. Moreover, the weapon which was apparently used was unregistered.

LPD officers arrested the accused perpetrators on January 19. Alejandro Quintero-Avalos, 20, of Tracy, was arrested at Home Health Resource, 4361 Technology Drive in Livermore. Brenda Gaspar-Sanchez, 21, a Livermore resident, was arrested at Axis Community Health, 4361 Railroad Avenue in Pleasanton.

In a prepared statement, Livermore police said. “The investigation revealed the two had conspired together to commit the crime. Gaspar-Sanchez drove Quintero-Avalos to the residence. Quintero-Avalos shot a gun at the residence.”

Ten felony charges were filed January 23 against Quintero-Avalos. His charges include shooting at an inhabited dwelling, and weapons-related charges. Gaspar-Sanchez is charged with permitting another to shoot from a vehicle, which is a felony.
