Man arrested on Outstanding Warrant and Weapons Violations Charges

“On January 20 at around 11 am, detectives from the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team (SOT) requested assistance with a vehicle stop at I-80 and Travis Boulevard. The vehicle’s driver had an outstanding arrest warrant for assault with a deadly weapon.

A plain clothes detective followed the man onto westbound I-80 until units from Day 2 and Traffic caught up and conducted a traffic stop at a rest area near Vallejo.

45-year-old Jim Stragalinos of Fairfield, was taken into custody without incident.

A loaded handgun and police baton were located inside the vehicle. SOT and Day 2 officers then served a search warrant at Stragalinos’ residence where two additional guns were located.”
