One cited, another arrested after sideshow activity in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD – Police arrested one and cited another after two incidents of reported “sideshow activity” in Fairfield on August 18th.

In the first incident, just after midnight, an officer on patrol spotted a white Ford Mustang spinning donuts on North Texas Street near East Tabor as several people watched. When he tried to stop the Mustang, the driver fled, the officer unable to give chase due to the number of people in the area.

Minutes later, however, he located the vehicle at an apartment complex at Travis Boulevard and was able to positively identify the driver as 18-year-old Charli Alvarado of Suisun City.

Alvarado was arrested for reckless driving and evading police, and his vehicle impounded.

In the second incident, around 12:30 AM, police received word of several vehicles doing donuts in the Red Top Road area in Cordelia. Responding officers found several people and multiple vehicles in the area, with many of the vehicles fleeing as the officers arrived.

Officers stopped one of the fleeing vehicles for not having license plates and cited the driver, a 22-year-old man, for driving without a license. His vehicle was towed.
