Man and Juvenile Arrested on Suspicion of Grand Theft

CORONA — On Thursday, November 17th, at 7:15 pm, officers responded to a call regarding a grand theft on the 1500 block of West Sixth Street.

A witness told dispatch that they observed two males run out of the business and provided a description of the suspects’ vehicle. A pursuit was initiated on the 91 freeway when police located the vehicle.

Riverside Police Department’s helicopter “Air1” followed the car all the way to Moreno Valley, where the suspects reportedly abandoned the car on foot.

With the help of Air1, Corona Police Department, and Riverside Sheriff’s Department, the suspects were ultimately located in an apartment complex.

Weston Lauder (23) of Moreno Valley and a 17-year-old male were arrested on suspicion of grand theft and felony reckless evading.

The stolen property was recovered and returned to the business.
