Drugs and Guns Confiscated after Search Warrants Served

November 17th, 2022 – Four Search warrants were served by the Los Banos PD today. The search warrants were served to assist with addressing gang violence in the area.

The Los Banos PD Gang Unit have been investigating a number of shootings in the area. The November 17th searches found at one residence off of Pennsylvania Avenue led to the discovery of a loaded handgun and ammunition as well as 50lbs of marijuana and evidence of marijuana sales. The owner of the gun was not home at the time of the search.

They also served two additional search warrants off of Mercy Springs Road and San Luis Street. They were able to find some gang related evidence at these residences but did not specify what exactly was discovered.

The fourth search warrant was served off of Birchwood Avenue related to a firearm report on September 26th. The search led to the discovery of a “ghost gun”. The un-serialized weapon was a fully automatic handgun with a suppressor attached. They also found ammunition and high capacity gun magazines. The owner/suspect was not home and has not been located.
