“On June 25, 2021, at approximately 11:35 p.m., the Los Banos Police Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian injury collision at the intersection of Mercy Springs Road and Pacheco Boulevard. When officers arrived they located an adult male on the ground suffering from injuries to his face and arm.

Witnesses reported that the victim was walking in the cross walk, east, across the north side of Mercy Springs, when a Chevrolet Camaro traveling east on Pacheco Boulevard ran the left turn signal and collided into the pedestrian. The suspect vehicle was last observed leaving the area north on Mercy Springs Road.

The victim was transported to the Los Banos Memorial Hospital for his injuries in stable condition.

A short time later, officers learned that the suspect vehicle was parked at a motel in the Santa Nella area. Officers Soriano and Greco responded to the Santa Nella Motel 6, where they located the suspect vehicle and the registered owner, 31-year old Cedric Deon Hill of Sacramento. During the investigation, Hill provided officers with a false name and attempted to run away while being placed under arrest.

Hill was placed under arrest and booked into the Los Banos Police Department charged with fleeing the scene of an injury collision, resisting arrest and providing false information to a police officer.”
