A Shasta County man was recently arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

29-year-old Jeremy Jiminez, who is currently on probation, was arrested following a tip that he had been uploading child pornography to an account on an internet cloud service, according to Redding Police.

Per the terms of Jiminez’s probation, he is reportedly subject to unannounced warrantless search. Investigators carried out that search, ultimately discovering numerous images of child pornography on Jiminez’s devices, police said.

Jiminez himself reportedly admitted to downloading the illicit material from the dark web. He was arrested and later booked at the Shasta County Jail.
