Redding Woman Arrested After Allegedly Driving Car into Crowd

“On July 7th, 2022 at about 4:05 AM, Redding Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a vehicle driving through a group of people at Lake Redding Park.

Officers responded with Redding Fire and EMS personnel and located three victims with non-life-threatening injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Medical Center.

Witnesses identified Hallie Williams, 19 years of Redding, as the person who struck the victims with her vehicle. It appeared Williams intentionally assaulted the victims with her vehicle after a physical fight and vandalism to her vehicle.

Officers located Williams and her vehicle in Anderson with the assistance from the Anderson Police Department. Redding Police Officers contacted Williams in Anderson and determined she was under the influence of alcohol at the time she struck the victims with her vehicle.

Williams was arrested for felony driving under the influence and assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Shasta County Jail.”
