Officer Sullivan conducted an investigation and was able to identify a suspect, Waylon Earl Pickett, 37, of South Lake Tahoe. Officer Sullivan wrote a search warrant for Pickett’s residence, which the El Dorado County Superior Court approved.

On 3/25/22, SLTPD patrol officers, with the assistance of members of the detective unit, served the search warrant at Pickett’s residence. During the search, officers located thousands of dollars of stolen property stolen with the victim’s credit card.
