“On Wednesday March 23rd at about 2:00 AM, Sgt. Cuellar was patrolling near Cavalieri Road in Sonora and noticed a vehicle backed into a turnout. Sgt. Cuellar contacted the occupants of the vehicle, 42-year-old Cesar Perez of Yuba City and 34-year-old Michelle Vass of Yuba City. Perez and Vass told deputies there was drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle. A record check of both occupants showed Vass was on Parole and Perez had warrants for his arrest.
Additional deputies arrived and had Perez and Vass exit the vehicle. Deputies searched Perez and found a methamphetamine pipe and two shaved car keys. Deputies searched the vehicle and found drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, a slim-Jim, credit cards, a driver’s license, and other personal identifying information which deputies were able to determine belonged to a victim of a recent vehicle burglary in Jackson.
