“On Saturday, January 23, 2021, Officer’s from our office arrested 26-year-old Ivan Hand of Sonora for felony vandalism and petty theft.

On 01/20/2020, our office was notified of vandalism that had occurred to several vehicles in the 1000 block of Morning Star Dr. Officers arrived on scene and found two vehicles that had holes drilled into the fuel tank.

During the course of the investigation, Hand was identified as the suspect of the crime. Hand’s last known location was in the Jamestown area.

Deputies from the Tuolumne County Sherriff’s Office went to Hand’s last known location, located Hand, and detained him until our officers could come to question him.

Hand admitted to our officers about the vandalism and theft. Hand was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked on his charges. Hands bail was set at $10,000.
