Woman accused of stealing $2500 worth of Sephora products, arrested for organized retail theft

A woman faces charges of organized retail theft after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars of skincare products from a Sephora store in Chino Hills.

The suspect, 28-year-old Taylor Jones from Long Beach, is believed to have made several thefts in Los Angeles County, according to the Chino Hills Police Department press release.

One of these incidents took place around 4 PM on Saturday, January 22nd, when Jones allegedly shoplifted approximately $2500 worth of merchandise from the Sephora located at The Shoppes in Chino Hills.  “Jones walked to a display case which contained Foreo UFO facial devices,” according to the release.  “Jones concealed several Foreos inside her purse, walked past an open register, and exited the store without attempting to pay.”

Jones was located 5 days later, when Rancho Cucamonga police stopped a vehicle in which Jones was a passenger.  Chino Hills detectives came to interview Jones about the theft.  “Through further investigation, detectives discovered Jones was responsible for several thefts in Los Angeles County,” states the release.  She was subsequently arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detecitve Ryan Girard of the Chino Hills Police Department at (909) 364-2000 or leave an anonymous tip via the We-Tip Hotline.
