20-year-old may arrested for Ayala High School burglary, may be responsible for other school burglaries

A Chino Hills man has been arrested for burglarizing Ayala High School.  Police believe the suspect, 20-year-old Nitin Singamsetty, “may be responsible for other school burglaries,” according to Deputy Daniel Martinez in a news release by the Chino Hills Police Department.

The school security officers received an audible alarm call at nearly 2 AM on Saturday, February 26th.  When police were sent out to investigate, they found a broken window in the gymnasium snack shop.

Singamsetty fled from the building but was apprehended on the other side of the campus.

“During the investigation, deputies learned Singamsetty used his vehicle to ram a gate which allowed him access to the campus,” said Deputy Martinez.  “Deputies located evidence inside the gymnasium that linked the suspect to the burglary.”

Singamsetty was booked at West Valley Detention Center for burglary.  He was released on bail later that day.

Anyone with information regarding possible burglaries by Singamsetty is asked to call the Chino Hills Police Department at (909) 364-2000 or the We-Tip Hotline at (800) 782-7463.
