Guilty Verdict Announced Against Robert Henry Tessmer Jr.

“On Thursday October 10th, 2019, at about 10:15 a.m. Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives arrested a Weed man for murder.

Deputies and detectives had been investigating a missing person report which led to the service of a search warrant at a residence in the Carrick Addition near Weed, California. A body presumed to be that of the missing man was recovered at the residence and evidence at the scene led to the arrest of 37 year old Robert Henry Tessmer Jr. of Weed. Tessmer was transported to the Siskiyou County Jail and booked on murder charges…”  (Original Post from 10/11/2019:).

UPDATE:

Tessmer was arrested in 2019 for the murder of Donald Hobrecht. Holbrecht was first reported as missing when his neighbors and friends had not seen him in over a week. An investigation into his disappearance lead to the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office Detectives locating Hobrecht’s body buried in a shallow grave in his own backyard. Tessmer was arrested for murder and has been held at the Siskiyou County Jail since 2019.

According to Sheriff Jeremiah LaRue:
“The jury sent a powerful message today as they announced a guilty verdict against Mr. Tessmer for murder. In 2019, Mr. Tessmer brutally murdered Mr. Holbrecht, and we hope this announcement brings some closure to the family of Mr. Holbrecht.” “”
