Uncle takes his two nephews from their Vancoiuver home

“On February 27, 2021, at approximately 0025 hours, the CHP Yreka Communications Center (YCC) was notified by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department to be on the lookout for a 2018 Gray Jeep Renegade.

An Amber Alert was activated out of Clark County, Washington, for the Jeep, which was being driven by Suspect Ronald M. Hidalgo.

The suspect took his twin two-year old nephews from t heir home in Vancouver, Washington on February 26, 2021, at approximately 1630 hours.

The Hornbrook Agricultural Station notified YCC that the Jeep drove through the facility and was last seen traveling southbound on I-5.

The Jeep was located and stopped by a CHP Yreka unit on I-5 northbound and North Yreka, in the CHP Yreka Area.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident at approximately 0130 hours and both children were found safe in the vehicle.

The suspect was booked in Siskiyou County Jail and the children were taken to the CHP Yreka Area Office. The children were picked up by their parents, who drove down from their home in Vancouver, Washington.”
