Sexual Misconduct Lands Mt. Shasta Woman in Jail

MT. SHASTA — 42-year-old Mary Frances Fletcher of South County is behind bars after being accused of unlawful sexual relations with three underage high school students in the Mt. Shasta area.

The investigation began when the Mount Shasta Police Department received a report from concerned school officials in September of 2016. Fletcher is alleged to have carried on with an inappropriate sexual relationship with three underage high school boys over the course of several weeks. No school employees are believed to be involved.

The case was subsequently reviewed by the Siskiyou County District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for Fletcher’s arrest.

She was taken into custody on February 28th just before 5:30 PM and booked into the Siskiyou County Jail to the tune of $10,000 bond.
