One Man’s Deadly-Weapon Assault Leads to Massive Armament Seizure

PALMDALE – Sheriff’s Station Deputies were flagged down on 10th Street East and Avenue R in the City of Palmdale by a female victim.

Investigating Deputies learned that a male had confronted the anonymous female behind a local beauty salon.

The male Hispanic adult had allegedly pointed a handgun at her head – all for a parking spot. “The victim, who was in her vehicle at the time, had left the scene prior to making contact with the deputies on December 1st at approximately 1 PM,” said Palmdale Sheriff’s Department.

Investigative procedures paid off when the deputies ID’d the suspect, and headed over to the 900 block of East Avenue R. The area was immediately contained and callouts were made to the subject.

Due to the weapon used in the commission of the crime – a search warrant was speedily obtained. The operation led to a successful capture of the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident.

The resulting execution of the search warrant brought in a large cache of armaments – “approximately 50 firearms were recovered at the scene,” said LASD – Palmdale. In addition to the suspect being arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a Felon in possession of assault weapons, the suspect’s father was also arrested – for being in possession of assault weapons.

While both were booked at Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, pending further investigation, LASD assures the public that this investigation into this incident is ongoing.
