Upset man returns to bar firing his gun

Originally published as a Marysville Police Department press release – 

“On September 22nd, 2021 at approximately 2:00 am, Marysville Police officers were dispatched to Filed and Stream Hotel and Tavern, 612 B Street, for a report of shots being fired into the bar.

Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim who had been shot in the shoulder, with several bullet holes in the front of the business.

Offivers rendered medical aid to the victim until Marysville Fire Department arrived and the victim was transported to Adventist Rideout Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses on scene stated the suspect got upset at someone at the bar, went out to his vehicle, and retrieved a weapon.

When the door to the business opened, the suspect began firing through the open doorway, striking the victim.

On November 30th, 2021, patrons and the original shooting victim called Marysville Police dispatch to report that the suspect was in the bar.

Officers responded and contacted Mario Enrique Ramiriez (26 years old) from Marysville, without incident.

Ramirez was positively identified by the victim and two other witnesses that were there the night of the shooting. Ramirez was booked into the Yuba County Jail on attempted murder charges.”
