An assistant coach at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga has been arrested for invasion of privacy after putting a hidden camera in the female student restroom.

The hidden camera was found by a staff member at the high school, and and Rancho Cucamonga police were subsequently called to come investigate.  Evidence showed that 52-year-old David Arthur Riden of Rancho Cucamonga, an assistant coach for the school’s varsity football team, was the culprit.

Riden had been on staff at Los Osos High School for the past 6 years.  He began in 2015 as an attendant in the boys locker room before becoming an assistant coach.

Detectives served search warrants for Riden’s home and vehicle, in which they found “multiple electronic devices” they seized as evidence.  After Riden was interviewed at the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, he was arrested for invasion of privacy and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.  He resigned from his position at the high school on the afternoon of August 24th.

“Detectives are continuing their investigation, and will conduct a forensic examination of the items seized,” states the release.  “The Chaffey Joint Union High School District was immediately notified and are assisting with the investigation.”
