Unlicensed Motorist Cited for Traveling 91 MPH in a 55 MPH Zone with Infant Passenger
FONTANA, CA — A traffic stop by California Highway Patrol law enforcement resulted in citations for an unlicensed motorist who was documented traveling 36 miles per hour over the posted speed limit with an infant passenger in the vehicle.
Officer Mcneeley of the Morongo Basin California Highway Patrol Division initiated the traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling at 91 miles per hour in a designated 55 miles per hour speed zone. Upon contacting the operator of the vehicle, the officer discovered that the driver did not possess a valid driver’s license.
An inspection of the vehicle’s interior revealed a “Baby on Board” sign and an infant passenger seated in the back row.
Law enforcement personnel utilized the incident to remind motorists that posted speed limits are mandatory regulations designed to provide adequate reaction time to avoid traffic collisions. Authorities emphasized that excessive speeding poses a direct risk to all road users and passengers, particularly young children who rely on operators for safe transit.
The department issued a public advisory directing community members to lower their travel speeds, refrain from operating motor vehicles without a valid driver’s license, and prioritize safety over arrival times.
