“On Friday July 23, 2021 at approximately 0311 hours, a Kings County Deputy was on patrol conducting a premise check of the parking lot at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore.
The Deputy spotted a red Chevrolet Silverado parking in a stall located on the south side of the casino. The Chevrolet matched the description from a Stolen Vehicle Be on the Lookout (B.O.L.) issued by Avenal Police Department the day prior.
The Deputy contacted dispatch and confirmed it was in fact the same stolen Chevrolet. The Deputy exited his patrol car quickly and placed the driver, Cristian Lopez, into custody. While placing Lopez into custody, the Deputy located a loaded handgun in his front waistband.
The handgun was an unregistered semi automatic 9mm. Lopez was also found to be in possession of approximately 19.8 grams of Methamphetamine and a second loaded 9mm magazine.
The Chevrolet was returned to the victim and Lopez was booked into the Kings County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Methamphetamine. Lopez had served a prior prison term for weapons charges as well as drug charges. His bail was set at $140,000.”
