“On today’s date at about 5:09 P.M., the Los Banos Police Department responded to the intersection of Pacheco Blvd. and W. I Street, after receiving a report of a road rage incident involving a handgun.
“The suspect vehicle was described as a compact gray sedan, last seen driving north on W. I Street.
The Los Banos Police Department Gang Unit was in the area and observed the vehicle as it was leaving the area. The Officers attempted to stop the vehicle using their emergency lights and siren, however the vehicle failed to yield, driving approximately 1 mile before the driver, 42-year-old Abraham Calderon of Los Banos, lost control of his vehicle and collided into a building.
Calderon was apprehended by Officers shortly after the collision. During a search of the vehicle, Officers located a loaded handgun concealed in a box. A record check of the firearm confirm that it was reported stolen out of Modesto California. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
Calderon is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing ammunition or firearms. Calderon was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail, charged with possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle with disregard for public safety, brandishing a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and resisting arrest.”
