“On April 3, at approximately 1538 hours, a California Highway Patrol Officer conducted an enforcement stop on a 2020 GMC Yukon for speeding and following too close.

During the course of the contact, the officer observed several indicators of criminal activity. CHP K-9 Officer Beny was called in to sniff the exterior of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed four heat sealed plastic bags containing an estimated 30,000 pills believed to be Fentanyl. The pills were manufactured to look like 30 MG Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills.

The approximate street value of the pills is $300,000.

A kilogram of cocaine wrapped in green electrical tape was also located in the vehicle. The approximate street value of the cocaine, if sold by the gram, is $60,000.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was taken into custody without incident.”
