Investigation Underway into Fatal Shooting on Conestoga Drive in Merced
The Merced Police Department has opened an investigation into a recent homicide in the city.
According to a department press release, a person was shot on the 1700 block of Conestoga Drive on the evening of Monday, May 13. The victim was described as a 36-year-old male.
Emergency medical responders attempted to save the man’s life, but he ultimately passed away due to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to canvas the area for witnesses and video surveillance, police said.
