Felon with a loaded gun tries to run

The suspect, now identified as Andrew Perez, climbed on a roof and hopped through several backyards trying to get away.

With the help of Santa Cruz Police, a perimeter was set, and deputies found Perez in a nearby backyard.

During the investigation a loaded firearm was found along with body armor and high capacity magazines.

Perez was booked into jail and is facing several charges.”
