“On November 27, 2020 at approximately 6:05 p.m., Santa Cruz Police Officers were dispatched to the public parking lot located at 100 Front St. for a call of a physical disturbance between a male and female subject. When officers arrived on scene, it was discovered that the male had been stabbed by the female subject identified as 19 year-old Michelle Antonio-Moreno. Antonio-Moreno was apprehended by responding officers in the immediate area.

The male victim was identified as 46 year-old George Mario Castellanos who was ground transported to Valley Medical Center in San Jose, Ca. where he was treated for his injuries and is listed in stable condition. Antonio-Moreno was also transported to Dominican Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries related to the physical altercation and medical clearance prior to booking.

Santa Cruz Police Detectives processed the crime scene, interviewed witnesses and the two parties involved. Neither party has been cooperative with the investigation, therefore a motive has yet to be determined.
