“On Monday, January 11, 2021, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail concluded a five-month sexual abuse investigation. Through the investigation, detectives identified John Ferdon as the suspect. Detectives discovered evidence of the crime of continuous sexual abuse of a minor, under the age of 14, was committed by Ferdon.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives arrested Ferdon. He was booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for violation of PC 288.5(c), continuous sexual abuse of a minor, under the age 14, with a bail of $250,000. On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, Ferdon posted bond and was released from custody.
