Last night Officers with the Violence Suppression Task Force (VSTF) noticed a vehicle with its brake lights not functioning at E. Laurel and Constitution.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the 17 year old driver and Victor Torres (23) the passenger, both active sureno gang members.

Officers asked the juvenile for the proper documentation for the vehicle, to which the juvenile began to retrieve by opening the glove box.

However on this night the juvenile and Torres forgot that they left their loaded unregistered .45 caliber firearm also in the glove box with the documents.

Officers quickly realized that there was a firearm in the glove box even though the juvenile tried to quickly shut the glove box once he realized what he had shown the officers.

Both the juvenile and Torres were taken into custody with out incident. Torres and the juvenile were both transported to jail and lodged on several gun and gang charges. #forgotwherethegunwas #licenseregistrationinsuranceandfirearm #ihopehedidntseethat #VSTF #gangsarebad #betterlucknexttime #redboxmightbelate
