Narcotic search warrant leads to arrest in King City

An upper class neighborhood, normally quiet, became an arrest scene when on Aug. 22, King City officers responded to the residence in the 300 block of Forden to serve a narcotic search warrant.

Neighbors were probably unaware of the drug and gun activity going on nearby their homes

Officers breached the front door and entered the residence where they detained three subjects, one of them being Anthony Rios. Officers said that during their search, they located large marijuana plants being grown in the backyard. Along with that, officers found a loaded semiautomatic handgun and drug paraphernalia.

Rios was lodged into the Monterey County Jail for marijuana cultivation and possession of drug paraphernalia. The other two suspects were released without charges. The King City Police Department is actively pursuing this investigation.
