A 26-year-old man has been hospitalized in life-threatening condition following an alleged fight that ended with an officer-involved shooting.
San Francisco Police say that, on the afternoon of November 17, officers had responded to 5th and Market Streets to investigate a reported fight between multiple subjects. One of the subjects, reportedly armed with a knife, sustained a single gunshot wound after police had already deployed less-lethal weapons and a taser.
As of November 18, the suspect remains hospitalized.
The San Francisco Police Department has emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and that information may change as more details come to light.
