San Francisco police have announced two arrests and the seizure of numerous firearms and other evidence in connection to multiple shootings dating back to early last year.

In early March of 2021, police began investigating multiple shootings in the area of Northridge and Harbor Roads. The investigation continued through September of this year, at which point investigators began serving search warrants on the 100 block of Northridge Road.

The search warrants covered three residences, and investigators had identified three suspects amid the investigation, police said.

As officers prepared to serve the warrants, one of the suspects — identified as 28-year-old Faalavelave Ulavale — was seen outside one of the residences in question, and taken into custody after a short struggle.

Investigators then searched Ulavale’s home and reportedly confiscated ammunition and a loaded magazine, as well as a firearm from Ulavale’s person. He was later booked at the San Francisco County jail.

Investigators served a second warrant on another home on the same block, and detained a second suspect — identified as 30-year-old Arturo Osorio.

From the residence, investigators reportedly seized one rifle, one assault pistol, three handguns, and two loaded assault rifles, as well as 15 high-capacity magazines and accessories such as a scope and a flashlight. Investigators also recovered an unfinished ghost gun.

The third search warrant did not lead to any additional evidence. Two of the recovered weapons were affixed with silencers, and six of them were ghost guns, police said.
