“On Thursday, October 22, 2020, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Detectives from the Turlock Police Department served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Village Park Ct. The investigation began back in July of 2020 when Detectives from the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) received an anonymous tip regarding criminal activity and a possible illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence.

The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Arisbel Gutierrez-Fabela, 27 years, Chantel Alvarado, 21 years and Paul Gutierrez-Fabela, 28 years, all Turlock residents, for cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sales. There is a fourth subject who is outstanding and a person of interest in this on-going investigation. At this time, other criminal violations are being considered for all four.

With the help of Stanislaus County Probation Officer Elise Schwartz and her K9 Java, who is trained to sniff out firearms, ammunition and narcotics, Detectives located over 300 marijuana plants, over $40,000 dollars in cash, one rifle, three handguns, ammunition and evidence of illegal firearm manufacturing.
