“On October 4, 2020 at approximately 12:57 a.m., the Monterey Police Department responded to an interrupted residential burglary in the 200 block of Laine Street. The suspects fled the scene and were not located.
On October 9, 2020, Monterey Detectives identified a suspect in the interrupted residential burglary. The suspect was identified as Jesse Salinas, 34, of Salinas. Detectives learned that Salinas was wanted for a recent residential burglary in the City of Del Rey Oaks. During the investigation, detectives discovered that Salinas was staying at a motel in the City of Campbell.
On October 9, 2020 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Monterey Detectives with the assistance of the Del Rey Oaks Police Department, and the Campbell Police Department conducted surveillance of the motel Salinas was staying at. Salinas was observed walking through the parking lot and arrested.
Salinas was transported to the Monterey County Jail and booked for the residential burglaries in Monterey and Del Rey Oaks, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of his Post Release Community Supervision.”
