20th Fresno Homicide Reported By Suspect Himself

On Monday, July 20th,  Fresno PD’s dispatch received a call from 35-year old Isaiah Martin
reporting he had killed someone.

Upon arriving, Southeast Patrol Officers contacted Martin at the Villa Rosa Apartments near Lane and Winery Avenue.

When they entered the apartment, officers found the body of 57-year old Bridget Carter. She had
severe trauma to her body. EMS personnel confirmed Bridget had passed away.

Martin was interviewed at police headquarters. The details of the interview have not yet been
released but it is known Martin and Carter were acquaintances.

After the interview, Martin, who has a history of drug and burglary related arrests and is currently on parole, was treated at a local hospital for medical issues.

Martin will be booked at the Fresno County Jail for murder after he is released from the medical facility.
