The evening of June 7, 2020, suspicious activity at Golden West High School prompted a phone call to the Visalia Police Department. When officers neared the area, they observed a male, 25-year old Anthony Angel Rocha at Lovers Lane and Houston Avenue on a Gradall forklift.

Rocha continued on to Lovers Lane and Norman Avenue where police stopped and detained him without resistance. Further investigation revealed Rocha had taken the forklift from the high school and, before leaving the campus, used it to significantly damage a light pole and fence on school property.
