36-year old Victor Hugo Marquez Porras was arrested on Thursday July 4th for his involvement in the theft of a fertilizer trailer in the Earlimart area.

Seemingly unbeknownst to Porras, when the trailer was stolen and driven away, it left behind a trail of liquid fertilizer starting at the location from where it was stolen, all the way to where it was found on the 5800 block of Road 120 in Earlimart.

Tulare County Sheriff deputies located Porras and placed him under arrest.

The $5000 trailer was returned to its rightful owner and Porras was booked into the Visalia Adult Pre-Trial Facility.

He faces charges of  grand theft of personal property, receiving stolen property, vandalism, possession of drug paraphernalia, and committing an offense while out on bail or released on his own recognizance.

His current bail is set at $55,000.
